Home time
I have a dog! His name is Leuk and he sleeps beside me and loves to get my face all wet with his big tounge. I think we're going to be great buddies. I haven't been able to find a way to tell him this becasue my communication skills are very limited, but maybe he knows anyway.
I also get to be carried around all the time by my Mom or Dad. In the hospital there were nurses that sometimes picked me up, but it was nothing like this. I have a feeling I'm going to like this place.

Peace
This is my Mom's favorite picture of me. She says this is when I started to really feel like I was hers. I got that damn tube out of my nose and now they can't pour milk directly into my stomach until I puke. My Mom's going to take care of me now and she told me that she's not going to let that happen anymore.
I am still very sleepy but last night I was awake and the nurses carried my around and I did paper work with them. I think they are being extra nice because they know I will be leaving them soon for my real home and family.

First bath
Ahhh... finally! Finally I get a BATH. I have been hearing about baths for sooo long now. And even watching my roommates get them. They look like so much fun. Everyone gets really excited for bath day and today it is my turn!
My nurse Alecia is going to show my mom how to bath me. I am very excited. I hope I don't scream but I'm not sure what to expect.
Yikes, they took off all my clothes and my diaper. I'm picked up and carried through the cold air and then slpoosh, in I go. Not sure if the look in my eyes was obvious, but I'm shocked! I didn't know it would feel like this. Kind of like when I was in my Mom's belly, except colder. I like the Mom's belly resemblance but I can't quite shake the chilly feeling. I'm plunged in deeper and warmth spreads across my body. Oooh it's fun. I kick my legs and my Mom says I look like a frog. I kick harder to show her that I understand what she's saying. Alecia wraps me up in a warm blanket to wash my hair and it feels amazing. Then I'm all done and they wrapped me up in a bunch of warm blankets. I could get used to this. I've decided I like baths. And I didn't even scream.

Nanaimo
I'm home! Or closer to it anyway. At least that's what I understand. I actually have no recollection of going anywhere. Apparently there was a helicopter involved... after all these days laying in an incubator and staring at the ceiling I miss the most exciting part because I fell asleep!

My first day
AAAAHHHEHEH EH EHHHHE E HEH WAAAA WAAAAAA WWWHHHATTT THE HELLLL?
Those were my first words. I was seriously not expecting this. I was happy and cosy listening to the world muffle away from inside my Mom. What is going on???? I'mmmmmm COOOOOLLLLLDDDD!!! SOOOMMEEONEE HHEEELLLLLPPPP MMMEEEEEE!!!!
Oh no, oh no. No one can understand me... I see blurs of things that talk so loud. Like the words I heard from inside except so LOUD. And bright bright bright. My eyes, my eyes aren't supposed to see yet.
PUUUUUTTT MEEEEE BBBBAAACCCKKKKKKKKK!!!
Put me back, please put me back... Oh my god oh my god oh my god. Where is my MOM? I can't hear her anymore.... Dad? Dad? Are you there? I think I hear you, yes it's you. Ok ok ok ok. What to do. I hear my Dad telling me I will be ok. Ok. I will be okay.
All the blurry shapes are moving so quickly around me. They are poking me and wrapping me up and unwrapping me and putting tubes and wires on me... MMMMOOOOMMMMM!!! Where are you? I can be brave. I am brave. I am okay.
Ohhh... it's quieter now. And warmer. I'm scared to open my eyes, I manage to, just a crack though. I have warm blankets around me and despite all the annoying wires I seem to be quite cozy and comfortable in some sort of box. It's definitely not as squishy as my mom, but I think I can handle it.
I hear my Dad talking to me. I still not sure where my mom is.
Oh, I am so tired. I have no idea what just happened. I need to sleep.
